After a long winter, Spring has finally shown it's face a wee bit and I suddenly have plenty of inspiration and motivation. Then I go and do something stupid, and injure myself. And now I have even more back trouble than before. So what do I do with all this pent up motivation and inspiration while laying around day after day? Nothing to write home about.
I did make some throw pillows.
Not exciting.
Except to me.
They really are pretty.
Before all of this, my 10 year old got braces and an appliance in the roof of her mouth to spread her jaw open, and my 7 year old had surgery in her nose and mouth. OUCH! While recovering from all this, my youngest daughter had her 4th birthday. I planned a last-minute pitiful party, but the cake was to die for!
I saw this several years ago at Made in Melissa's Kitchen and waited for the perfect opportunity to make it. This was one of the easiest cakes I've made yet! I REALLY want to make a wedding cake version of this. I can already see it in my mind. Now I just need a willing bride...and a good back.
So sorry you hurt your back, you poor thing, it can be so frustrating (and of course, painful).
ReplyDeleteMy sister had the jaw appliance (not a happy time), so sorry about that too, and major surgery for a little one too... you guys are just having it rough over there and yet you are still sharing, you an amazing woman!!! I pray you are all well, and good as new, soon!

Who doesn't like cake and throw pillows? Especially when they are from you which guarantee's them to be gorgeous?
